LW1 is a series of high performance microstep drives based on the precise pwm control of sinusoidal current , a solution that allows to control stepper motors with less noise, less heating and smooth movements and have better performance and high speeds compared to most drives on the market. Suitable for driving 2 or 4-phase hybrid stepper motors, they are available in a wide range of powers designed to be coupled with the series of motors from 1.7” to 4.2”. Completely digital and made using surface mount technology, LW drives offer exceptional reliability combined with mechanical compactness and a competitive price. They can be used in many types of machines, such as X-Y tables, labelling machines, laser cutters, pick-place devices, engraving tables, etc. and they are recommended in all applications in which versatility, precision, speed and low temperature are required.

  • Possibility to select five user functions by means of dip-switches:
  • active edge of step and direction inputs
  • Step / Direction or Clock-Up / Clock-Down control mode
  • drive enable input functioning: a) the motor is powered if the power input is open b) the motor is powered if the power input is closed
  • ‘Voltage mode’ functioning: when the motor rotation speed exceeds 400 rpm, the drive switches automatically to full step to compensate the efficiency and torque loss due to current auto-limitation when the rotation speed increases
  • maximum current range for precise setting of the desired value
